Kaci Meyers

Head Devo Race Coach
My name is Kaci Meyer and I grew up in the Tahoe basin. I recently graduated from the University of Nevada Reno with two bachelor's degrees in Spanish and French and an emphasis in German. My passion for skiing started at the age of two when my parents took me on schoolyard, and since then we have turned into a skiing family. My mother Mimi Meyer worked at the children's ski school at Diamond Peak while my father patrolled the hill saving lives. I learned how to teach from my mother at a young age when I followed her lessons, which led me to start coaching at 14.
At the age of five my passion for ski racing started when I partook in Mighty Mites on DPST. While doing the little ‘mighty’ world cups on Show Off, I knew I wanted to ski race. During my second year of being on the team, I was invited to take part in some Tahoe league ski races at the age of 6. As I got older I participated in Far West ski races, and raced for Incline High and for UNR. I am now an alumni for DPST and UNR.
From doing gates, drills and free skiing, my goal is to help kids embrace the sport of ski racing. I want to foster a fun environment where I can use the skills I developed as I grew up with the DPST culture. Ski racing is a fun sport, which takes time, dedication and positivity. I love seeing kids smile and progress each day.
“Ski fast turn often!” is what my dad would always say when it came to skiing
